The learner profile

Clarify scores each learner across five dimensions, from how they take in information to how they behave under exam pressure, each one a position on a continuum rather than a label. Twelve learner archetypes summarise the pattern, and the pattern moves as the learner does.

The Socratic engine

Three modes carry a learner through a concept: one that guides gently, one that asks them to defend what they think they know, and one that raises the difficulty until they reach the edge of their understanding. In every mode the system asks; it does not hand over the answer.

The teach-back arena

The learner explains a concept to a virtual pupil with its own misconceptions and its own temperament. Where the explanation is unclear, the pupil stays confused, and the confusion is the correction.

The blind-spot scanner

Most learners overestimate or underestimate what they understand. Clarify measures the gap between the two with transfer problems, questions that ask a learner to apply an idea somewhere they have not seen it applied before.

The mistake autopsy and the decay radar

One tool looks backward, grouping a learner's wrong answers by the pattern behind them rather than the topic alone. The other looks forward, tracking what a learner once knew and is starting to forget, and saying when it is worth going back to it.

The playgrounds

Typing a concept into Clarify builds a simulation of it: wave interference, planetary orbits, chemical bonds, sorting algorithms, electromagnetic field lines, the way a strand of genetic material copies itself. The learner adjusts it by hand rather than watching it happen to them.

The teacher's view

A teacher sees an intervention queue ranked by who needs attention first, a map of where misconceptions cluster across the class, suggested pairs for peer tutoring, and an exam architect that builds an assessment to a stated level of thinking rather than pulling from a fixed bank.

The parent's view and the engagement system

A parent sees progress in terms they can read, not a dashboard built for the platform's own metrics. Streaks, levels and recognition exist to build a habit of studying and stop there; they are not built to hold the learner's attention for its own sake.
